UK Status Resident. A locally common species throughout British Isles as far north as Sutherland. Montgomeryshire Status An old record taken at Welshpool in 1963 and then found at Lake Vyrnwy in 2022. Wingspan : M & F, 18-22mm. Confusion species None. |

(Univoltine)  Habitat Mainly woodland. Foodplant Deciduous trees and shrubs. Lifestage data Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva pulls two spun leaves in a tubular spinning open at both ends. Pupates in larval habitation with the open ends of the spinning now closed. |
