Resident. A locally common species throughout British Isles as far
north as Sutherland.
Montgomeryshire Status
An old record taken at Welshpool in 1963 and then found at Lake Vyrnwy in 2022.

Lifestage data
Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva pulls two spun leaves in a
tubular spinning open at both ends. Pupates in larval habitation with
the open ends of the spinning now closed. |
